All-new Ozone Reflex performance freeride kite — available at Paddy in the Elements, Galway

Ozone kites in Ireland: the full range, and the all-new Reflex has landed

Posted by Paddy on

If you ride Ozone — or you're about to — this is your shop. We stock the full Ozone range here in Galway: kites, wings, bars, boards and spares, with the kind of stock depth you won't find anywhere else in Ireland.

The big news: the Reflex is here

Ozone have just launched the Reflex, and it's a serious statement: a performance freeride kite that replaces the Enduro in the range, built on the Vortex's three-strut shaping DNA with a 16-point bridle and a tough Teijin Triple Ripstop Dacron airframe. The short version? Vortex possibilities with everyday accessibility — exciting big air and kite loop performance that's still forgiving enough for your first jumps. Easy lift, addictive hangtime, tight turning that makes loops learnable without fear. We rate it highly for Irish conditions because it's built tough and it handles everything from twintip blasting to wave and foil days. Sizes 5m–13m from €1,559 — full launch details and prices here.

The rest of the lineup

  • Catalyst V5 — the easy-going all-rounder we put most of our lesson graduates on.
  • Vortex V2 Ultra-X — the big air machine the Reflex borrows its DNA from: stiff, direct and built for maximum precision and power.
  • Edge VT Ultra-X — the legendary big air and race weapon, now in Ozone's featherweight Ultra-X cloth for even more low-end and hangtime.
  • REO V7 Ultra-X — the wave specialist: instant drift, featherlight handling, made for the west coast's surf days.
  • Alpha V3 Ultra-X — lightwind freeride made easy: single-strut simplicity and Ultra-X weight savings that turn marginal days into sessions.
  • Zephyr V8 Ultra-X — the lightwind giant: when everyone else is sitting on the beach, the Zephyr is out riding.
  • Contact Water V5 bar — clean, simple, intuitive; the bar we put on most kites we sell.
  • Ignition V3 trainer — the smartest first buy in kitesurfing; our review here.

Winging? The Liteforce V2 turns flat, light-wind days into actual sessions.
