What we like – Take the Reo V7's wave pedigree and strip the weight: the Ultra-X is one of the lightest pure wave kites around, and you feel it instantly in the drift and turning speed. It shares the same transversely shaped canopy and airframe skeleton as the standard V7, but with premium lightweight materials throughout for a noticeably more responsive feel at the bar.

- 125g performance dacron leading edge and struts — 20% lighter than standard 160g dacron, yet more rigid
- 46g double ripstop Teijin canopy, 17% lighter than standard triple ripstop cloth
- Technora bridle lines around 25% lighter and 25-35% thinner to reduce drag
- Improved drift, faster turning and more drive through the window
- Around 20% lighter overall than the standard Reo V7
