For year-round watersports on the west coast, you'll want a 5/4mm or 5/3mm wetsuit for autumn through spring and a 3/2mm for summer — we help you match thickness and fit to what you're doing and how the cold actually affects you, not just what the size chart says. Every wetsuit here is tested in the water we actually ride in — Silverstrand and Rusheen Bay in Galway — so what we recommend comes from what genuinely holds up in cold, salty, high-wind Irish sessions, not a spec sheet. Fit matters more with a wetsuit than almost any other piece of kit, so call into the shop in Barna and try one on before you buy — a size that's right on paper can still be wrong on you.
