F-One Origin V2 complete beginner wing foil package Ireland

Best Beginner Wing Foil Packages in Ireland (2026): The Honest Comparison

Posted by Paddy on

The short answer: a complete beginner wing foil package in Ireland runs from €2,175 for a one-brand starter setup to around €5,000 for a premium build you'll never outgrow — and the right one depends on how sure you are that you're hooked. We stock, teach on and demo every setup below on Galway Bay. And a teaser before we start: we've exciting news coming — a new range of foilboards that will cater to all levels — plus more beginner-focused packages landing behind it. Watch this space (or WhatsApp us and we'll tell you first).

The one-box starter: F-One Origin V2 Complete — €2,175

The simplest way into the sport: board, foil and wing designed as one system by one brand. Everything matched, nothing to decide except your size. If you want the lowest-risk, lowest-cost way onto the water on new gear with a shop behind it, this is it — and it's the package we recommend to most first-timers.

The head-to-head: two builds we're asked about every week

Premium build — Appletree board + Ozone wing + Code carbon foil

This is buy-once-cry-once: an EU-built Appletree AppleSlice V4 or Midlength V2, an Ozone Flow V2 wing, and a full-carbon Code Foils setup underneath. We sell it ready-made: the AppleSlice + Flow + Code package from €4,655 (or the V4 version from €5,294). Why it's worth it: the Appletree is near-indestructible and holds its value for a decade, the Flow is the do-everything wing you won't replace, and the Code system is fully modular — as you progress you swap a front wing, not the whole foil. Nothing in this build ever gets thrown away.

Smart-money build — F-One board + Ozone wing + Code on the alloy mast

Same philosophy, sharper price: an F-One Rocket Wing board (from €1,349 — the classic first wing board), an Ozone Fly (from €719 — the progression wing with soft handles), and here's the clever bit: the same Code front wings on the Code aluminium mast set (from €510) with an S Series front wing (from €989), fuselage and tail. Depending on sizes you're at roughly €4,100–4,300 all-in — and because it's the same Code system, you upgrade to the carbon mast later and keep every other part. You give up a little stiffness and swing weight versus the premium build; you give up nothing on the upgrade path.

Which one?

If you've done a couple of lessons and you know this is your sport: the premium Appletree/Code build — it's cheaper over five years than buying twice. If you're committed but watching the budget: the smart-money build gets you the same foil family for €500+ less. If you're still deciding: the Origin V2 Complete at €2,175, or better yet a lesson and a Foiling Hub demo first — we take the demo cost off whatever you buy, so trying costs you nothing. And there's more coming for beginners — new boards and complete packages built exactly for starting out. Ask us.

Every setup here is on our demo fleet in Galway, delivery is free over €200 anywhere in Ireland, and the full level-by-level gear map lives on our Foiling Ireland guide. WhatsApp us on 087 144 8888 with your weight and budget for a straight answer.
