Why Appletree?
Three reasons we hung their logo on our wall. Build quality: vacuum-infused carbon over closed-cell waterproof foam — the boards don't drink water when dinged, and they last a decade, which is why their resale value is the best we see. EU-made: built in the Netherlands by a family company, not an anonymous catalogue factory — and customs available in your own colours. They work here: every shape below has been tested hard on Galway Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way by us and our students.
JUST RELEASED — BIG Zapple: the ultimate board to start foiling
Released this week — brand new from the Appletree factory, and we're one of the first shops in Europe to carry it. The BIG Zapple (65L–110L, from €1,849) is Appletree's answer to "what's the easiest way to learn to foil?" — a wide, stable, big-volume platform built for first-time foilers, foil schools and families. And it's Foil Drive ready: a recessed trench and extended boxes give a zero-drag fit with a Foil Drive unit, with a signal window in the nose. If you want into foiling — wind or motor-assisted — this is the friendliest door in the building. Pair it with Foil Drive and flat-water foiling stops needing wind at all.
Wing foil boards
Midlength V2 — from €1,749. The smoothest touchdown recovery of any board we stock and our go-to recommendation for progressing wingers — long enough to be easy, slim enough to be fast. AppleSlice V4 — from €1,699. The compact performance wing board: direct, lively, for riders whose jibes are landing. Searching for an "Appletree wing board"? Downwind & SUP foil
Skipper Downwind V2 — from €2,099. Long, narrow and efficient — paddles onto foil with ease for downwind runs and light-wind SUP foiling. The board under most of the west coast's downwind crew.
Prone, pump & Foil Drive
Zapple S — from €1,899 — the high-performance carbon prone/Foil Drive board. Zapple — from €1,849 — the original Foil-Drive-ready shape, with an optional upgrade to Foil Drive Fusion compatibility. AppleSlice Prone — from €1,299 — the pure prone surf foil board. Mini Foil (from €1,149) and Skipper Short (from €1,199) cover kite foil, wake and dock starts.
