Private 1:1 kitesurfing lessons on Galway Bay — taught by Ireland's only BKSA-recognised school. No groups, no kite-sharing, no waiting around. Just you, your instructor and maximum time on the water at the flat, shallow lagoon beside Silverstrand, Barna.

Beginner Lesson — €300

3.5 hours | private 1:1 | equipment included (booties can be purchased). Your first taste of kiting: learn the basics, fly your first kite and get moving on the water. Pay as you go.

3-Lesson Package — €800 (most popular)

3 × 3.5 hours including theory | private 1:1 | premium equipment and radio headsets included. From zero to independent rider — the fastest, safest route into kitesurfing. Includes €350 off a beginner kite or foil package (use within 30 days of your last lesson).

Advanced Coaching — €250 (own gear) / €300 (school gear)

2.5 hours | private 1:1 | video feedback, radio headsets and demo gear. Nail your upwind riding, jumps and transitions — or try kite foiling.

Meet Paddy

Paddy is a BKSA Senior Instructor, an Advanced Paramedic, ex-RNLI lifesaving crew and a Level 3 swiftwater rescue technician. He grew up sailing and windsurfing on Galway Bay — you're learning from a coach who lives and breathes the water and puts safety first, always.

  • Do I need experience? No — total beginners welcome.
  • What do I bring? Swimwear, towel and snacks. We provide the rest (booties can be purchased in the shop).
  • Lessons all year? Yes, whenever the wind is right. If conditions don't work, we reschedule for free.
