Looking for a parawing in Ireland? This is the country's deepest parawing shelf — Ozone, F-One and North, all stocked here in Galway, plus the boards to pair them with and the only 1:1 parawing lessons on the west coast. Parawinging is the fastest-growing corner of foiling for good reason: a wing that packs down to the size of a lunchbox, gets you onto foil, then stashes in your pocket while you ride swell. On a coast with as much open Atlantic swell as ours, it's a cheat code.
Ozone parawings in Ireland
Ozone make our two favourites, at opposite ends of the journey.
Ozone Powerpack (from €889) — the one to start on. Accessible, durable and forgiving, built specifically for riders getting into parawinging and downwind foiling. Easy handling and friendly power delivery — our full thoughts are in getting into parawinging.
Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 (from €919) — the performance pick. A high-performance parawing for downwind foiling and wing crossover that packs down small enough to stash in a pocket, in sizes from 1.9 to 4.3m² and up. Fair warning: it's in such demand it's on back-order — every delivery is spoken for before it lands, so WhatsApp us or email to get your name on the next shipment. We rated the original highly in our Pocket Rocket first impressions, and the V2 sharpens it — see how it stacks up against F-One's performance offering in Pocket Rocket V2 vs Frigate.
F-One Frigate — catch and stash
The F-One Frigate (from €949) is F-One's first pocket wing, designed to take you further — catch the bump, stash the wing, surf the ocean. It's in stock now in more sizes and colours than anything else on the shelf, so if you want one before the weekend, this is the one we can hand you today.
North Ranger — the downwind specialist
The North Ranger (from €599) is a super short-bridled single-skin kite built for downwind foiling — and the sharpest price of the four. If you're Ranger-curious on a budget, it's a serious amount of parawing for the money.
The boards that make it work
Parawinging rewards a mid-length board with glide. The Appletree Midlength V2 was optimised for parawing from the drawing board and is what we'd put under most riders; the North Midi is the crossover that also covers winging and Foil Drive. Pair either with a Code foil — we're the country's only Code Foils dealer — and you've a downwind setup nobody else in Ireland can put together from stock.
New to it? Learn it properly
We teach private 1:1 parawing lessons at Silverstrand — the same radio-coached, BKSA-certified format as our kite and wing lessons, rated five stars by 55+ riders. Not sure whether parawing or wing is your entry point? Our honest take: wing vs parawing — which should you learn first?
