Core Lotus parawing riding a wave — Core dealer Ireland

Core in Ireland: RADIX, the Lotus Parawing and the Full Line-Up — From the Republic's Only Approved Dealer

Posted by Paddy on

We're the only approved Core dealer in the Republic of Ireland. That's not a small thing: it means every Core kite, wing, board and part we sell comes with genuine warranty support, honest sizing advice from people who actually ride the gear, and stock you can put your hands on in Barna before you buy. Core have been busy lately — a new track system co-developed with Appletree, their first parawing, new boards and wings — so here's everything worth knowing, in one place.

RADIX: Core and Appletree join forces

Two of the brands we rate most — Core and Appletree — have partnered up on RADIX, a foil track system that aims to set a new standard in foiling. Anyone who's wrestled a foil into a standard US box knows there's room for improvement, and having a German engineering house and the Dutch board builders we already trust working on the same system together is exactly the kind of collaboration this sport needs. Watch the launch video:

We're official dealers for both brands, so as RADIX-equipped boards land, this is where you'll get them in Ireland. Message us if you want to be first in line.

Orca Pro fins: a cheap big air upgrade

Core now do the Carved Orca Pro fin set — at €99.90 it's the cheapest meaningful upgrade you can make to a big air setup. More grip on the load-up means a harder edge into the kiteloop, and they bolt straight onto your twintip. If you're chasing height this winter, start here before you spend thousands anywhere else.

The Lotus: Core's first parawing

New in and now on the site: the Core Lotus parawing, from €919. It's a single-skin, high-aspect design with Nitinol reinforcements in the leading edge, built for one thing — maximum flow on the wave, with serious upwind drive to get you back out and effortless stashing when you want to ride swell clean. Four sizes from 2.5m² (21–35 knots) to 4.8m² (12–22 knots), and it comes complete with bar, harness line and backpack. If you're weighing it against the others we stock, our parawing buyer's guide covers the field.

The boards: Chase, Roamer E and the new Roamer 2

The Chase (110L, €2,299) is Core's midi board — one do-everything volume for freeride, waves, light wind, downwind runs, SUP and prone. Wide stable platform, double concave nose, and a lifted tail that taps into the smallest wave energy.

Starting out? The Roamer E is one of the best-value beginner wing boards we stock — stable, forgiving, and built to survive the learning curve.

And for intermediate to advanced riders, the all-new Roamer 2 (€1,899, 60–90L) is a completely redesigned shape — roughly 10% lighter than the original, with a new rocker for earlier take-offs, smoother touchdowns and much more direct foil feedback. This is the board for the winger who's past first flights and wants to start carving and boosting.

The wings: Halo or Halo Pro 2 — it's that simple

Core's wing range is refreshingly easy to choose from. The Halo (from €1,229) is the do-it-all: light, stable, easy to pump, happy from first lessons to confident freeriding. The new Halo Pro 2 (from €1,999) is the flagship for ambitious riders — ALUULA 98 panels structurally welded with Core's Polyfusion process rather than stitched, a 3-strut design across every size, and the Bionic Boom for direct control. Powerful, rigid, fast; if you know, you know.

Pace Pro 2: the kite we're waiting on

The Pace Pro 2 has been selling fast everywhere since launch, and we're looking forward to getting our hands on stock to push this winter — Irish big air season and this kite were made for each other. If you want one for the first winter storms, tell us now and we'll allocate from the next delivery.

Why buy Core from us

Because we're the approved dealer for the Republic, you get real warranty backing, gear that's genuinely in the country, and advice from a school that teaches on this coastline every week. Message us on WhatsApp for sizing or stock, or call into the shop in Barna — the kettle's usually on. And while the summer clearance runs to 30 September, it's worth a look before you pay full price anywhere.
