Code Foils 95cm Ultra High Modulus Plus mast — Ireland's only Code Foils dealer, Galway

Code Foils 95cm Ultra High Modulus Plus Mast Review

Posted by Paddy on

Code Foils have just added a 95cm option to their Ultra High Modulus Plus mast lineup — the longest mast in the Plus range to date, and the one for genuinely big, fast, open-ocean conditions. If you've been asking us about it, yes, we've got it in, and yes, it's as serious a piece of kit as the name suggests.

The Plus Series sits above Code's original High Modulus masts, built from the same mould and profile but with a completely different, stiffer carbon layup. Code's own testing on the 80cm mast (used as the benchmark across the range) shows a 41% increase in torsional stiffness and a 59% increase in flexural stiffness over the standard High Modulus mast. That's a genuinely big jump — less twist, less flex, more direct feel through the foot straps when you load the mast hard.

The 95cm keeps the same extended base plate blend and tapered, thinned-down bottom section as the rest of the Plus range, there to improve glide and efficiency the higher you get on the mast — useful on a mast this long, where you're often riding well up off the water. Code built it for pushing into bigger, faster, more powerful conditions: think open-ocean downwinding and serious surf, where you need the extra clearance a 95cm gives you over the 85cm without giving up the stiffness the Plus range is known for.

It slots in alongside the rest of the Plus lineup — 75cm for shallow water, prone, downwind and dock foiling, 80cm as the one-mast do-it-all option, and 85cm for wing foiling, bigger surf and tow — so if 95cm is more mast than you need day to day, we can point you at the right length for what you're actually riding. Code haven't dropped the original masts either; the Plus range sits alongside them as a stiffer option, not a replacement.

We're Ireland's only Code Foils dealer, so this is genuine stock landing in Barna, with full warranty and honest advice on which size actually suits your riding rather than just the biggest number. At €1,999, the 95cm sits at the top of the Plus range — if you want to talk through whether it's the right call for you versus the 85cm, message us on WhatsApp and we'll talk it through honestly.
