Our Gear Up & Save range does exactly what it says on the tin: the more of your kit you buy from us in one go, the more you save on the lot. It's our way of rewarding you for sorting everything in one place — and we're about to make it a good deal bigger. Wetsuits, boots and gloves are on it already; helmets, harnesses, leashes and clothing are going on next, so you'll be able to kit yourself head to toe and watch the savings stack as you do.
Here's how it works, and why we run it this way.
How the savings stack
It's simple: instead of dribbling money on one item at a time across half a dozen websites, you build your kit with us and the discount grows the more you add. A beginner sorting a wetsuit, boots, gloves and a harness in one shop saves more than someone grabbing a single item — and you walk away with everything matched and ready, not a random pile of gear that doesn't work together. Have a browse of the Gear Up & Save range to see what's on it today.
What's on it now — and what's coming
Right now you'll find wetsuits, impact vests, boots, gloves and hoods in there — the warm gear you can't skimp on for the Irish Atlantic. Next, we're adding the rest of what a kitesurfer actually wears and carries: helmets, harnesses, leashes and clothing. Once those land, the maths only gets better, because the bits you were always going to need start pulling the price of the whole order down. In the meantime you can already browse harnesses and wetsuits and waterwear while we fold them into the deal.
Why buy the lot in one place?
Beyond the price, there's the small matter of getting gear that works together and fits. Buy a wetsuit, harness and helmet from three different checkouts and you're guessing on sizes and hoping it all plays nicely. Buy it from one shop that rides these waters and we'll make sure the harness suits your kite style, the wetsuit's warm enough for the season, and the sizes are right — first time. If something's off, you've one shop to ring, not three.
Not just for beginners
It's not only first-timers who benefit. Upgrading your suit and want fresh gloves and a hood for winter? Refreshing your harness and helmet at the same time? The same logic applies — bundle the refresh and the savings come back to you. The range is built to reward anyone kitting out properly, whatever your level.
Local, Irish-owned, and proud of it — that's our moat
Here's the honest heart of it. We're a local, Irish-owned and Irish-run shop in Barna village, not a faceless warehouse or a foreign website with a .ie landing page bolted on. We teach on these beaches, we ride in this wind, and the money you spend with us stays in the community. That's our moat — the thing a big online box-shifter simply can't copy. You get advice from people who actually use the kit, aftercare for the life of your gear, and a real door to knock on. The deals are good; the relationship behind them is the bit that matters.
Coming from up the coast?
If you're travelling in from Mayo, Sligo or Donegal, the Gear Up & Save range is a big part of why the trip pays off — sort your whole season's kit in one visit, or one delivery. We've made the case for each in our Mayo, Sligo and Donegal guides, and if you're still learning, start with our kitesurfing school.
Call into the shop in Barna village or get in touch — tell us what you're after and we'll build you the best-value pile of kit we can.
