The Core Pace Pro 2 is the replacement for the original Pace Pro, and the short version is this: more struts, more hangtime, and noticeably more composure once things get big. If you liked the first Pace Pro but found it a handful when it mattered most, this is the fix. The headline change is the airframe. Core has gone from a 3-strut to a 5-strut Aluula design, using an Aluula leading edge paired with ExoTex Light struts for the first time. More struts usually means more weight, but Core has stripped out the strut reinforcements the old design needed, so the extra stability comes without the kite feeling like a boat anchor in your hands.
The other big addition is what Core calls "Second Lift": a deliberate second phase of lift after the initial pop, so you hang longer and get more time to spot a landing. Paired with the new frame, the loops are meant to be cleaner and more predictable than the old Pace Pro, sitting closer to the XR Pro in outright performance but keeping its own sportier, more "loaded pop" character rather than the XR's sheet-and-go feel.
One thing to flag clearly: the Pace Pro 2 only works with the Sensor 4 or Sensor 4S bar. If you're still on a Sensor 3S or older, this isn't a straight swap, the fixed-bridle depower depends on the newer bar's SFS+ system.
Sizes run 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12m, with wind ranges from 20-42kts on the 6m down to 11-26kts on the 12m, so there's a genuine spread for Irish conditions, from a proper winter blow at Silverstrand down to the more borderline days. The canopy is Core's CoreTex 2 triple ripstop with Kevlar patches on the high-wear spots, and the Speed Valve 2 and Hyperflow system make pumping and packing down noticeably quicker. It comes with a backpack, manual and repair kit, and Core backs it with a 6-year replacement parts guarantee.
