CORE Nexus 4 kite

Core Nexus 4 review — the do-everything kite

Posted by Paddy on

The Core Nexus 4 is the kite we hand to most riders who want one kite that genuinely does everything — waves, freestyle, freeride and the odd big boost. After a lot of time on it here on Galway Bay, here's our honest take.

Who it's for

Intermediate to advanced riders who don't want a quiver of specialist kites. If you ride a mix of flat water and Atlantic chop and want a kite that's forgiving but still has plenty of performance when you push it, this is the one.

On the water

Quick, direct steering, predictable power delivery, and it sits well in the window for jumping. Relaunch is easy — handy when you're learning transitions or riding waves. It drifts nicely for a do-everything kite, so it's surprisingly capable in the surf.

Our verdict

If you're after a single kite that punches above its weight across conditions, the Nexus 4 is hard to beat. We stock it in store in Barna and you're welcome to try the demo before you commit. Browse Core kites or WhatsApp us for a size recommendation for your weight and local wind.
