North Orbit Ultra N-u80 2026 Prototype 1 of 1 – 9m Grey Edition, Kite Only
1 of 1. The only one like it anywhere. This is a 2026 pre-production prototype of the kite North have now released as the Orbit Ultra — the same N-u80 Ultra PE airframe, the same design, the same kite — in a limited-edition grey colourway that never went into production. Lightly used: flown three times, by Paddy personally, and that’s it. It has never been a school kite. Fully checked, no repairs, nothing to report.
Now €1,699 — cheaper than a brand-new standard Orbit 9m (€1,799), for the Ultra. Cut on 16 September for the last fortnight of the Summer Clearance. This is the kite family that has won the last two women’s Red Bull King of the Air titles: Francesca Maini took the first women’s KOTA in December 2024 on the Orbit, and Nathalie Lambrecht won in 2025 on a pre-release Orbit Ultra — the same generation of kite as this one, before it went on sale.
North call the production version “the fastest, most reactive Orbit”: a thinner N-u80 leading edge for quicker loops, a six-point bridle, higher aspect ratio and a more cambered profile built for overpowered big air. The 9m is the everyday send size for an Irish winter. The production kite retails at €2,449 — this one is €1,699, and it’s the one the pros were flying before anyone could buy it.
