Built for open-ocean performance. Lightweight and efficient, the Code Downwind boards use full-carbon construction, reinforced foil tracks and extra PVC reinforcement through the standing area. The strong deck-to-foil connection gives a direct, controlled feel for confident paddle-ups and smooth bump connection. Foil Drive compatible.
Three lengths, two widths at 8'0" and three at 8'5": the narrower boards are faster to paddle up, the wider ones more stable for your first Galway Bay runs.

Who makes them
Shaped by Marcus and Ben Tardrew, with more than 40 years of combined board-building experience between them (Sunova among others), alongside Code co-founders Daniel Juengling and James Casey. Every shape is purpose-built around its discipline, with construction focused on stiffness, durability and a direct connection between rider and foil.
Buying in Ireland
We are the only Code Foils dealer in Ireland. We ride Code on Galway Bay all year, so if you are not sure which litres or length suit your weight, your foil and your home spot, WhatsApp Paddy and we will tell you straight. Irish warranty handled by us, not by a shop abroad.

Why buy from us
Everything we sell is gear we ride ourselves on Galway Bay. New gear is checked over before it leaves us. Ex-demo and ex-instructor gear is inspected, pumped up and photographed so you can see the actual item before you commit.
Galway stock can be collected the same day from the trailer at Silverstrand or in Barna. Everything else is delivered anywhere in Ireland, free over €200, and we'll give you an honest delivery date on WhatsApp before you order.
Book a demo day, ride the gear in real Irish conditions, and if you buy within 30 days the demo fee comes off the price. Lessons and demos are run by Ireland's only BKSA-recognised kite school.
