The ultimate crossover wave kite surfboard
Meet the Klokhouse, your ultimate crossover wave kite surfboard. The one board quiver for everyone who kites as well as surfs. Or for the kitesurfers focusing on wave riding and loving that surfy feel while kitesurfing. Where the kite is used mainly to get into the wave and the board needs to surf like a normal surfboard.
That feel that everyone loves when surfing
Surfing feels good, it just does. No one can argue with that shot of the good stuff up the brain. Riding on the Klokhouse is really like kitesurfing on your everyday surfboard. It has the same flex, weight and feel that everyone loves when surfing. But in a board that can cope with the abuse that kitesurfing brings to a board.
You don’t have to hold back on speed and edging epic turns, the board can handle it.
Board features
Extra volume in the middle
The Klokhouse is based on a traditional high performance shortboard. It has that familiar feeling that you can expect from a performance surfboard. Yet it is not too “pro rider focussed”, it brings this performance feeling to the average rider as well. Partly because the board is slightly wider in the middle, it floats a bit more, helping you over those softer sections of the wave.
Rocker in the nose
It has a fair bit of rocker in the nose which is flattened out in the tail. This makes the board plane earlier and helps upwind performance.
Medium to thin rails
Medium to thin rails make it grip the water and give you control at high speeds which are typical when kitesurfing.
Thin squash tail
The squash tail is really thin for optimal feel with the water.
Concave throughout
The bottom features a single concave throughout, which gives enormous drive and control.
Thruster setup
The Klokhouse comes with a thruster fin setup. This gives you the best balance between control and drive. A very reliable setup.
Can I use this board for normal surfing as well?
Choosing a surfboard and board size for both kitesurfing and surfing is tricky, as you usually kite on a smaller board than you surf on. In this case, choose the board as you would a normal surfboard. You will probably kite on a size too big, but that is way less of a problem than surfing on a size too small.
