The brands we stock — and why we ride them
We're not just a kite shop. Kitesurfing, wingfoiling, parawinging, downwind and prone foiling are all alive and well right now — and we stock across every one of them.
But there's a rule behind everything on our shelves: we only sell gear we've ridden ourselves and tested in real Wild Atlantic Way conditions — through winter storms — and that stands the test of time. We deliberately don't chase the brands that get dumped online at 40–60% off. When a brand floods the market and sells direct, prices crash, resale value tanks, and your local shop can't be there to back you up. We stock the brands that hold their value, that we buy direct from, and that are built to last.
The brands we ride
Appletree — premium boards, built to last
Family-run by brothers Wieger and Jorrit Buurma, Appletree started on an apple farm in the Netherlands and grew into what many riders rate as the best foil boards and directionals on the market. Every board is made in the EU at their own factory in Portugal — carbon-neutral and run on solar. If you want a premium board that'll still feel alive years from now, Appletree is our number one.
Lieuwe — handcrafted in the Netherlands, virtually indestructible
Lieuwe go their own way: no offshore mass production — every board is handcrafted locally in the Netherlands. Founder Florian started the company while studying mechanical engineering, fed up with how quickly other boards lost their feel and fell apart. Because they build by hand, you can spec fully custom shapes and your own artwork — a board that's uniquely yours, with a build that's close to bombproof.
F-ONE — French, family-run, everywhere on the water
A true family company — father and son both at the helm — F-ONE span kites, foils, wings and SUP foil, with decades of R&D behind icons like the Bandit. Built across Europe, Japan and Asia to exacting standards, and a brand that protects its pricing so your gear keeps its value.
Core — German engineering from the island of Fehmarn
Based on the Baltic sea island of Fehmarn, Core are known for robust, efficient German engineering. Kites and wings are built in Sri Lanka, twintips in Slovenia, and their custom CARVED twintips and surfboards are made by hand at their German HQ. Premium kit that's built to be ridden hard.
Ozone — made to order, in their own factory
You might know Ozone from paragliding — and that pedigree shows. They run their own dedicated factory in Vietnam, giving them full control of everything they build: kites, wings, foils, paragliders, even wingsuits. Ozone work to a production-to-order system — nothing is mass-produced, each is made to order, so there's less waste and more care per product. R&D is based in France, with corporate HQ in the UK.
Code Foils — high-performance, modular foiling
The foil system we build our setups around — fast, modular and seriously well made. We'll spec and dial in a complete Code build to your riding, and you can demo it with us on the west coast before you commit.
Every brand here earns its place the same way: we ride it, we test it hard in Irish conditions, and it lasts.
